Updated: 2 days ago

Yogi found a wonderful home 🩵

And getting to watch him be chosen and begin his life with his family has meant everything to us. There is always something so special about seeing one of our babies exactly where they were meant to be.

Kenji and Bohdi are both pending adoption with two wonderful families!!!!!

Shih Tzu Brothers | Born 11/19/2025

Every once in a while, a group of puppies comes into our lives that just stays with us, and these three boys have been exactly that.

Yogi, Bodhi, and Kenji came to us through a situation that was never intended, but unfolded exactly the way it needed to. Their previous family owned both parents and had already scheduled spay surgeries for their girls. Unfortunately, before those appointments could take place, both females went into heat and their male managed to do his job before anyone realized what had happened. What followed was a surprise double litter.

Their family loved them deeply and cared for them so beautifully during their earliest weeks. These puppies were never without love, attention, or proper care. But they also recognized that responsibly raising and placing six puppies was more than they were equipped to take on long term, and that is when they reached out to us to step in.

From the moment they arrived, they became part of our home, our routine, and our daily lives. These boys have not been raised in a kennel setting. They have been underfoot, in our arms, learning structure, routine, and how to be little companions from the very beginning. That is something that matters so much to us, because it allows us to truly know them, not just care for them.

Watching them grow into who they are has been such a joy.

Yogi, now in his forever home, was our confident little explorer. He approached everything with curiosity and excitement and had that perfect balance of playful energy and affection. Seeing him find his family was everything we could have hoped for him, and his story will always be part of theirs.

Now we are just waiting for the right families to find Bodhi and Kenji.

While these boys have done beautifully together, we have really seen how much they each blossom when they have that one on one connection. They love each other, but they don’t rely on each other in a way that would require them to stay together. Instead, we see two individuals who are ready to bond deeply with their own people and step into lives where they can be known for exactly who they are.

Bodhi is my carefree, happy little spirit. He has such an easygoing way about him and brings this light, joyful energy wherever he goes. He can be playful and silly, then settle right in and just exist peacefully рядом you without needing constant attention. He has a really sweet balance to him that makes him such a natural companion. There is just something about Bodhi that makes you feel good when he is around.

Kenji is my sweetheart. He is the one who will sit there and look up at you so intentionally, just waiting to be picked up. And the moment you do, he melts right into you like that is exactly where he belongs. He could sit there for hours if you let him, just soaking in love. He is incredibly affectionate, very people focused, and forms such a deep connection with his person. He is the kind of little dog that doesn’t just love you… he attaches to you in the sweetest way.

Both boys are extremely social and have been raised around constant interaction, so they are very comfortable being handled, loved on, and included in everyday life. They enjoy playing with toys, engaging with people, and just being wherever you are.

They are now sleeping in a crate at night and doing wonderfully with it, with no accidents. They have also been doing phenomenal with their house training. With a consistent schedule in their next home and continued guidance, they should transition beautifully and continue to thrive.

Like any puppy, they will need patience and structure as they settle in, and it is always important to understand that even the most well adjusted puppies can show new behaviors in a new environment. That is completely normal as they decompress and learn their new space. We are always here to support through that transition.

They currently know “stay” and are working on “sit,” especially when treats are involved. They are smart, eager, and very capable of continuing to learn with the right guidance.

They travel well, enjoy car rides, and are the kind of little companions who will happily go wherever life takes you.

All of their veterinary care has been completed through our vet. They have received four rounds of DA2PP vaccinations, their first Bordetella vaccine, their one year rabies vaccine, have been microchipped, and have been thoroughly examined and cleared. They will go home with individual health certificates confirming healthy exams.

A fecal test was completed and came back showing one type of parasite, which they are currently being treated for through our vet to ensure they go home cleared and healthy.

Because of their age, they will go home on a spay and neuter contract. We prefer allowing puppies the opportunity to grow and mature before undergoing those procedures, as it can support healthier development overall. Their adopters will agree to have them altered at an appropriate age recommended by their veterinarian.

A portion of their adoption fees has already gone toward ensuring both parents have now been spayed and neutered, so their previous family will never experience another accidental litter again.

Their adoption fee is $1,800 each.

This includes all of their veterinary care, including their deworming through our vet, their vaccines, microchips and registration, health certificates, as well as the weeks of hands on care, training, grooming, socialization, and love they have received while being raised in our home. As with all of our dogs, their adoption fees also help us continue rescuing and caring for the next ones who need us.

Shih Tzus are such special little companions, and these boys truly embody everything people love about the breed. They will thrive in homes where they can be part of your everyday life… whether that is relaxing next to you, following you from room to room, riding along for errands, or playing at your feet while you go about your day.

They are not just puppies… they are little souls who have been loved, shaped, and prepared for the next chapter of their lives.

We are not looking for just any home for them. We are waiting for the right ones.

If you feel that connection when reading about one of them, we would love to hear from you ❤️
