Meet Chloe ❤️ She is a Shih Poo (Shih Tzu × Poodle mix) | She turned 1 on 10/25/25. She weighs 9.5 lbs and is full grown, and at a very healthy weight.

Chloe is the kind of little soul who melts into your life as though she’s always been there. At a year old, she carries the perfect balance of playfulness and gentleness a cheerful little companion who thrives on being close to her person but also delights in romping around with her doggy friends. She has the sweetest nature, never demanding, always eager to please, and radiates warmth the moment she curls into your lap.

This petite 9.5-pound beauty may put on just a tiny bit more weight as she fills out, but she’s otherwise fully grown and perfectly proportioned for a lap, a car seat, or a cozy corner on your bed. She’s not a barker, preferring quiet companionship to chaos, which makes her the ideal fit for a calm home or even apartment living. Her coat is soft and low-shedding, just like her heart gentle and easy to love.

Chloe came to us from a young couple here in our own town who adored her deeply but simply couldn’t afford even her basic needs or veterinary care. They made the incredibly selfless choice to reach out to us so she wouldn’t go without. From the moment she arrived, we promised that we’d make sure she never missed another meal, vet visit, or cuddle.

During her time here with us, Chloe has flourished under consistent care, structure, and love. She has learned crate manners, basic obedience cues, and is continuing to build confidence on leash — she walks beautifully with gentle encouragement and will only grow stronger with time and reassurance. She’s fully housetrained, comfortable in routine, and loves car rides — she hops in with a little tail wag as if she’s ready for any adventure the day may bring.

She’s wonderful at the groomers and has quickly learned that being pampered is just another way of being loved. We’ve spent time desensitizing her to grooming tools and touch around her face and paws, so she feels safe during every session. She loves praise and thrives on gentle reassurance — she’s a little sponge for affection and wants nothing more than to please her humans.

Her $2,000 adoption fee covers all of her veterinary care, including her spay, core vaccines, microchip with registration, and a full dental exam which included the removal of a few retained baby teeth to prevent future dental crowding. Her adult teeth are now aligned and healthy, and her overall exam showed a clean bill of health — she’s truly thriving.

This adoption fee also reflects the months of care, training, and professional grooming she’s received since arriving in our arms. Each bath, trim, training session, and vet visit has been part of her journey toward becoming the well-rounded, confident, and deeply loved girl she is today.
