Timmy

Timmy is the kind of little dog who wins you over instantly with his goofy charm and tender, submissive sweetness. A Havanese–Poodle mix with a soft, hypoallergenic coat and the gentlest little heart, he weighs just over 5 pounds but carries enough personality to fill a home with joy. When he wants to be picked up, he lays down and melts into the floor, waiting patiently with those soft, hopeful eyes that make you scoop him right up. Once he’s in your arms, he is all love—sweet, quiet, trusting, and so grateful for closeness.

He is a joyful mix of silly and sensitive, with a playful spark that lights up when he sees toys or other animals. Timmy will happily entertain himself with his toys, toss them around, sprint through the room in tiny bursts of excitement, and then come right back for affection. He loves other sweet animals and naturally wants to be everyone’s friend. Whether joining other pets in play or being the only pet in his new home, he adapts with ease. If he is your only dog, he will adore being treated like the center of your world—especially if you make him a little treat shelf, which he would proudly admire every day.

He is crate trained and sleeps through the night peacefully in his crate. Because his prior owner was immobile, he was never introduced to leash walking, but with his cheerful personality and eagerness to explore the world, leash training will come easily for him as long as it’s introduced gently and positively. Timmy came from an older gentleman in a wheelchair who adored his dogs deeply but could no longer physically care for them. Making the decision to surrender them was an act of love and selflessness. While the dogs in the home knew each other, their bond was truly with their owner, not with one another, so Timmy is now ready to form his own individual bond with a new family.

He is wonderful on road trips, happy to be part of any outing, curled comfortably in a booster seat or being loved on by a passenger. He enjoys his spa days with the groomer and handles grooming beautifully. He isn’t a barker, though he will communicate softly when he needs or wants something, especially if snacks are involved—he takes his treat motivation very seriously. He is a kind-hearted, affectionate, truly loving little boy who is ready to be someone’s best friend, adventure buddy, cuddle partner, and joyful little companion.

Timmy is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and has had a dental cleaning/polish and a complete veterinary exam ensuring he is healthy and ready for his next chapter. His $2,000 adoption fee helps cover all of his veterinary care, dental cleaning, microchip, months of care since being with us, his grooming needs, and the training and foundation we have personally put into him.
