Mitzi

Adopted!!!

Meet Mitzi. She is a purebred yorkie. She turned two on February 14th 2024. She weighed 7.4 lbs at time of her spay on 1/24/24 and yes, she is at a healthy weight. She is now healed from her spay, is current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done, and has been treated for a double eye and nose infection.

Upon coming to us she wouldn't open one of her eyes as it was very crusty, and extremely irritated. Her other eye was open but you could tell it was also hurting her to some extent. Upon examination at our vet it was discovered she had two scratched corneas that the prior owner didn't treat or make us aware of, as they told us she had been examined and was diagnosed with dry eye and after attempting to contact them after our vets findings they decided to no longer respond to us. We don't have any answers as to how it happened, but our vet stepped in and treated both eyes and said she would make a full recovery ❤️‍🩹 She indeed is a superstar, and has healed beautifully! She is still on eye ointment, and our vet wants her back for a recheck on/by February 21st but said that recheck could be done by another vet as he is comfortable releasing care at this point if the new adopting family is as well 💝

She is pad trained, and has no issue using them if desired but she also loves to go outside as long as she is accompanied by someone as we have a lot of wildlife here and keeping her safe is top priority.

She is great with all dogs, and cats alike. She is VERY sweet with men, women, and children alike. Although we don't know much of her past life, as the little that was given to us was sadly not true, what we do know is that it hasn't stopped her from loving with every single ounce of her heart ❤️

Her owner went into hospice care, and a neighboring family took her in and eventually reached out to us to take her in as they claimed taking her in was only a temporary solution.

She is AMAZING on road trips, loves walks around town, and is very good at the groomers once her excitement wears off of being doted on 😁

She will make an exceptional companion to a single person, couple, or a family. She adapts easily, and would be happy to be a part of your world, however that looks ❤️

Her adoption fee in total is 2000. Her vet costs have exceeded her fee alone adding in her dental, and double eye treatment but helping her heal from the trauma she recieved was most important.

Her overall care, time with us, and training are also always considered in an adoption fee, but in her case it's just an added bonus to the love she has recieved since with us here 💓
