Meet Malcolm ❤️

Born July 17, 2025, Malcolm is a full grown Pomeranian/Shih Tzu mix weighing 6.5 pounds, making him the perfect little companion to share life’s adventures with. He has such a joyful spirit and an easygoing personality that it is impossible not to smile around him. Malcolm truly loves everyone he meets and gets along beautifully with other dogs and animals. He is playful and full of life, but he also has wonderful manners and knows how to settle down and simply enjoy being with his people.

Malcolm inherited a beautiful blend of both the Pomeranian and Shih Tzu coats. He sheds a bit more than his sister thanks to his Pomeranian side, but still much less than a purebred Pomeranian, which gives him the best of both worlds. He absolutely adores spa days and is wonderful with our groomers, always enjoying the extra attention and coming home looking especially handsome.

His previous owner was a young mother who dearly loved him. After a difficult breakup, she moved back in with family while returning to school and trying to rebuild life for herself and her child. Unfortunately, the resident dogs in the home were not accepting of little dogs, and she knew it wasn’t fair or safe for Malcolm to remain there. Making the decision to let him go came entirely from a place of love and wanting what was best for him.

Malcolm isn’t much of a barker, although he will politely alert you if he hears something unfamiliar. He rides beautifully in the car and loves road trips of any length. Whether it’s a quick errand or a long adventure, he is happiest simply being with his people. He is crate trained when needed, though he much prefers relaxing on a comfy bed in an enclosed room or area when everyone is away.

He has done wonderfully going outside to use the restroom on a schedule. Because of his small size and the wildlife we have here, he has always been accompanied outside, so maintaining a consistent routine in his next home will help him continue to succeed.

Malcolm is also doing wonderfully with leash training and has embraced learning something new. He enjoys exploring beside his people and becomes more confident with every outing. He loves being included in everyday life and is eager to accompany his family wherever they go.

Honestly, there isn’t anything negative I can say about this little boy. He is affectionate, cheerful, well mannered, and truly one of those dogs who brings happiness everywhere he goes. He has so much love to give and is simply waiting for the family that will treasure him for the special little soul he is.

Malcolm’s adoption fee is $2,000. His fee includes his neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and a thorough examination with our veterinarian, which went wonderfully. A few retained baby teeth that had not fallen out naturally were removed, and his overall dental health is excellent. His fee also helps cover the months of love, care, grooming, socialization, and training we have personally invested in preparing him for this next chapter in his life.
