Freddy
Meet Freddy, our beautiful purebred Miniature Poodle who is every bit as happy, social, and loving as that sweet little face suggests. 🩵
Born May 29, 2025, Freddy is 1 year and 3 months old and is fully grown at 9.4 pounds. He is at a wonderfully healthy weight and is such a great little size for someone looking for a companion who can easily be part of everyday life.
Freddy came to us after his previous owner had to relocate for work. Before the move, she had been able to work from home throughout much of the week with only occasional days in the office, which meant Freddy was accustomed to having his person nearby and being part of her day. Her new schedule would have meant leaving him alone for more than ten hours at a time, and she knew that simply wasn’t the kind of life that would make him happy. She wanted Freddy to have someone he could truly take life on with, so she asked us to help find him an incredible new person to love, and to be loved by in return.
Freddy is an incredibly sweet boy who loves everyone he meets and is wonderful with other dogs. He’s social, outgoing, and just genuinely happy. He has a way of making himself part of whatever is happening without needing to be the center of attention.
Around the house, Freddy has wonderful manners. He is house trained and goes outside to use the restroom when asked. You’ll usually find him following his person around because he wants to know what you’re doing, but once he realizes nothing particularly exciting is happening, he’s perfectly content finding a comfortable spot nearby and settling in for a nap.
And if you happen to mention a walk? Freddy is ready. 😊 He absolutely loves his walks, and there’s no convincing necessary on his end. Whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or heading somewhere new to explore, he’s all in. He’s also great on road trips and rides around town. We’ve seen how much he enjoys coming along with us, and I can’t imagine the length of the trip mattering much to Freddy as long as he gets to be part of it.
He’s wonderful at the groomers and seems to thoroughly enjoy a good spa day and the opportunity to come out looking and feeling his best. Regular professional grooming will, of course, need to remain part of his lifelong care as a Poodle.
Freddy isn’t a barker, but one thing we absolutely love about him is that he knows how to communicate when he wants or needs something. He’s very smart, catches onto things quickly, and genuinely enjoys being talked to and interacted with. And if treats happen to be involved, you’ve definitely got his attention. Freddy is a total foodie at heart and takes treat time very seriously. 😂
While he absolutely loves the company of other dogs, Freddy doesn’t need another dog in his forever home to be happy. His strongest desire is that emotional connection with his person, so I believe he would be equally content being his family’s one and only little guy as he would be sharing his home with another dog.
At his core, Freddy is a true companion dog.
He’s looking for someone who wants more than a dog simply living in their home. He wants to be involved in your life, to follow you around while you’re doing things, nap nearby while you’re relaxing, head out for walks, jump in the car when it’s time to go somewhere, and come home knowing that wherever you are is exactly where he belongs.
If you’ve been waiting for the kind of little friend who has every possibility of becoming your heart dog in every sense of the word, Freddy may just be your guy. 🩵
Freddy’s adoption fee is $2,000, which helps cover his neuter, dental cleaning, vaccines, microchip, examination with our veterinarian, professional grooming, training, and his overall care and time with us while preparing him for his forever home.
