Meet Lulu. She is a 3 year old purebred shih tzu. She is set to be spayed in the next week or so and will officially be available for adoption soon after. She will also be current on all vaccines, microchipped, thoroughly examined, and cleared by our vet prior to adoption. I don't have her weight, but once I have it I will update it here. She is a husky girl 🙃 I would say she is around 10-12 lbs at the moment. She really loves her treats and will come running to be front and center for them 😬
She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom as needed when she has to. She is very communicative and will let you know if she needs to potty, or will simply stand back and wait for you to close the door.
She is crate trained, and will put herself to nap in there during the day, or to sleep at night. She knows what crate is hers, and happily jumps in there when she is sleepy, or ready for bed! I haven't brought her in the room to sleep at night, but we have allowed her in our room during the day and she was very excited to be able to be a part of what goes on in the bedroom 😂 even if it just consisted of more beds and more toys 😆
She is leash trained, and has no problem walking on a leash once she is confident with who she is with. She is your stubborn hearted shih tzu for sure! And will do things her way, in her time and that's something you just have to understand about Miss Lulu 😉
She is PHENOMENAL with all animals alike from dogs to cats and anything in between as she was also raised around farm animals, parrots, and Guinea Pigs 😊 She is a sweetheart to all living animals, and would make a great friend to any one of them. If you don't have any other animals, that's fine too as she is very adaptable and will just make you her new pack 😊
She is very well behaved in the home, and doesn't get into anything she doesn't belong in.
She is very independent and while she loves attention, she also doesn't necessarily need to ask for it to be happy as she is just happy being a part of all that's going on around her (especially at snack time.
She loves lounging by the pool, and will lay poolside any chance she gets. She never gets in the water, but it has been a fave spot of hers from day one arriving here. She is also a dog that will burrow herself in small places so you definitely need to know her hiding places, because if not she will have you on a hunt 😂 I really believe she does it because she likes when we interact in play with her so it's a form of hide and seek and she is a great hider!!!
She isn't a barker, but will definitely alert you of unfamiliar noises. She on the other hand is a talker and will do her woos here and there when she needs or wants something so be ready to have a conversation figuring it out from there 🙃
She is wonderful on road trips of any length, and loves her spa days with our groomer as she loves being called beautiful upon her return ❤️❤️❤️
She is good with men, women, and children alike but does take time to warm up to anyone she doesn't know in the beginning as she just wants to make sure your intentions with her are lasting ones. Her prior owner was elderly and couldn't physically take care of Lulu anymore, and Lulu took that goodbye very hard in the beginning with us as to why she now wants to make sure anyone who comes into her life is there to stay this time and I don't blame her ❤️
Her adoption fee is set at 2000 for now.
She has a fatty mass that needs to be removed along with a dental cleaning at time of her spay which will require additional anesthesia time, iv fluids, post care, blood work, and anything else needed to ensure she is medically sound at the end of it ❤️ I assure you she will be 100 percent vetted prior to adoption and all paperwork will go home with her 😊.)
Her adoption fee will be updated once everything is completed.
It will cover all vet costs, the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and her training we have personally done with her.
