Meet our handsome boy Fred 💙 He is a purebred shih tzu. He weighs 9.9lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a healthy weight. He turned 2 years of age on 5/5/25. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his yearly vaccines, and had an overall wonderful exam with our vet who has cleared him to find a home all his own ❤️

He is house trained, and goes outside to use the restroom every few hours when he is asked if he needs to go outside. If he doesn't need to go, then he will sit back and wait for you to come back and join him. We would recommend a good routine in your home so that he becomes accustomed to a routine moving forward to fit your schedule as he did with us here.

He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night. He has amazing house manners, so he gets to hang out throughout our home on dog beds or in our laps 😊 He loves being able to go about doing his thing while you do yours and when he sees that you finally have time to sit down you will catch him right at your feet waiting to be picked up, or doted on to some affect ❤️ He is a total sweetie pie always waiting for the opportunity for some one on one snuggle time with his humans ❤️

He is learning the leash, and still building his confidence in the big new world outside of his home as his prior owner didn't take him out on leash much due to limited mobility on her end. She felt really aweful that his world became so limited due to her health issues and wanted him to have a life where he could grow and flourish so that his heart could be more full than she alone could ever make it. He was loved immensely in the time he was with his last owner but it's now time for him to find a new family ready and willing to show him the beauty of the world and all that's in it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

It takes him a few days to really open up and let his personality shine but once it does he will be one of the greatest friends to any animal he meets, or joins in life either as a companion or as a new friend. He truly is amazing with all dogs and cats alike, and while he would love another friend that could also very well be his human too! He loves his person, and if you have the time to spend with him then having animal friends out of the home will be sufficient enough!

He is a sweet, kind hearted, BEAUTIFULLY tempered little guy and he is SO VERY DESERVING of a home that he will never have to say good-bye to again. He is so loyal, and it breaks my heart that he had to say goodbye to his first person, so we are making sure his next person will be with him forever ❤️

He is amazing in road trips around town, and is always ready to go "bye bye." He sits very good in the backseat or in his booster seat. He will either look out the window, or just nap while you are driving. He would do very good on longer trips so if you want to venture off into the world with him and have him join you on vacations away from home I'm certain he would be just as happy going "bye bye."

He loves his spa days, and always loves being told how handsome he is coming back home. He will soak up every single last word, so we make sure to give him plenty of them because that means we get extra snuggles in return making it a win win for both of us!

He is not a barker, but will occasionally alert you of unfamiliar noises. He listens very well, so once you tell him you have it under control he will let you take over. He is very smart, and loves making you happy so listening is something he does extra well ❤️

He is very good with men, women, and children alike. While shy at first, he warms up quickly. He doesn't mind anyone just holding him, and cuddling him so it makes it easy getting to know him and his beautiful heart even when he hasn't completely opened it up to you yet. (Believe me, you want to feel the love coming from his heart so being patient is a reward in itself with this sweet special soul ❤️.)

Special fact 💕 He had a very close relationship with his prior owners grandson. So if you have a young child that is a part of your home, or life then there is a piece of Fred's heart that is waiting to be filled especially for them 🥰

His adoption fee is 1800 in total.

It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, antibiotic injection given to aid in the healing of his neuter, and his exam with our vet. It also covers the months of care he recieved in the time he has been with us here, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done with him💙
