Pending adoption ā¤ļø
Meet Hendrix š He is a purebred standard poodle. He is red in color and absolutely stunning! He is 8 months of age. He is set to see our vet on 4/21/25. He will be microchipped, current on all of his one year vaccines, have a fecal test sent in to clear him of all parasites (worms) and will be dewormed if needed pending what the results are, and will be cleared by our vet who will provide a health certificate for him that will go with him to his new home š I will have his weight updated as soon as I have it so make sure to check back!
He is a very sweet, outgoing, beautifully natured, and lovely tempered boy š He is extremely loving, and is very affectionate to those he loves ā¤ļø and he loves everyone, even if he has just met you š He is not your high energy puppy whatsoever, so do not let his age be a deciding factor in adding him to your home. He is playful, but not to the point of feeling like you'll never be enoughš Just having you there with him, spending your time hanging out ensuring he is a part of your day to some magnitude will leave his heart full ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
He is wonderful with all dogs, and cats alike. He has very friendly disposition and will become an instant friend to every animal her meets. He would happily join your other animals in life, if you have a sweet friend already. If you don't, that's okay too! He will have no problem taking the role of the only child š
He is very well behaved in the home. He will lounge around while you are tending to other things, but I assure you that he is always ready the moment his name is called and it doesn't matter why either as he is happy to please you no matter the request š
He is NOT a barker, and has been overall quiet yet very observant to things he has been introduced to for the first time. His confidence definitely shows in these moments and it's quite beautiful to see him embrace everything in his world the way he does so innocently full of curiosity and excitement every time!
He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in a crate at night very peacefully. He has free roam of our home throughout the day, and does wonderful knowing his crate has its use at night, or to nap in during the day if he chooses. Aside from that he has great house manners so I'm confident in time you could transition him to a bed in your room and I'm sure he would happily agree ā¤ļø
Leash training is coming along nicely. It is something we have been working with him on since his arrival. He enjoys just being able to hang with his person so it hasn't been hard to train him to do just that, only outside of the home š
He is doing amazing at house training. We have a great routine set up for him to go outside every 3 hours which he happily obliges to if he needs to use the restroom. He is very smart, and will simply stand back, or go back to his bed if he doesn't have to go.
He is great on trips around town, and will be a master traveler in no time especially if you would like to take him on longer adventures. He is always happy to be along for the ride, no matter where it leads us ā¤ļø
He is wonderful with the groomers, and has done very well on the table with her. He listens well, and loves coming home knowing he is about to get all the snuggles and kisses his heart desires after being told how handsome he is (he is a total heartthrob and he knows it!!)
He came to us from an older woman whose husband fell ill leaving her with little to no time to dedicate to raising her boys. (Hendrix and Bowie are brothers, but are not being adopted together as they are very confident outside of one another š.) She loved them immensely but knew it was selfish to keep them, and wanted their lives to be full just as she planned for them to be. She asked us to please take them in and find them the best homes we could!!
His adoption fee is 2000 total.
It covers his vaccines, microchip/registration, and his exam with our vet that includes a health certificate stating he is healthy š. We sent out a fecal sample to test for parasites (worms) which came back positive for one type of worm which he has been treated for. He also recieved an allergy injection due to redness in his ears, and while no ear infections were seen our vet applied antibiotic ointment into each ear, and had us continue that at home for a few days as well as a precaution. He is to young to neuter as its best for his growth plates to fully form prior to sterilization so he will be going home on a neuter contract. His adoption fee also goes back into the care involved in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done with him.
