Bear

Adopted šŸ’™

Meet Bear! 🐾 He is a purebred miniature poodle, currently 4 months old, and estimated to be between 15–18 lbs full grown. With his curly, hypoallergenic coat, you won’t need to worry about shedding. He’s the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and gentle, affectionate nature.

Bear is current on all of his puppy vaccines. He has received 4 sets of DA2PP, his 1-year Bordetella vaccine, and his 1-year rabies vaccine. A fecal test was sent to the lab and he has been dewormed based on those results. He has been thoroughly examined and cleared by our vet, who is sending him home with a health certificate šŸ’™ Because of his young age, Bear is too young to be neutered, so he will go home on a neuter contract once he is mature enough and his growth plates are fully closed.

Bear is doing phenomenal with house training! He’s on a set schedule and has responded beautifully, making the process simple and smooth. He’s already crate trained and sleeps all night peacefully in his crate, treating it like his own safe den.

He’s also developing wonderful obedience skills. Bear comes when called and already has great recall for such a young pup. He’s learning basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and listens attentively when spoken to.

Leash training will be new, but he’s eager to please and will pick it up quickly with positive reinforcement. Start with short walks, pair it with encouragement and treats, and he’ll soon be the perfect walking buddy.

Bear is as sweet as they come. He is great with other dogs and cats alike and would adapt well to any furry friend in his next home. His gentle nature also makes him wonderful with men, women, and children — he truly would make an exceptional family dog or a loyal companion for someone single wanting a best friend to share adventures with.

He isn’t a barker, but he listens well and will quietly alert if something catches his attention, always respecting when you take the lead. His calm, attentive demeanor makes him easy to live with and a joy to train.

Bear loves bath time and being brushed, and he doesn’t mind the blow dryer one bit — he actually seems to enjoy the spa treatment. He also loves road trips, happily settling in for the ride and watching the scenery go by. Whether it’s a quick errand or a long journey, he’ll be thrilled to join his people wherever the road takes them.

Please note: Bear is being adopted out individually, not as a pair with his brother.

Bear’s adoption fee is $2,000, which covers:

  • All vaccines (DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies)

  • Microchip & registration

  • Fecal lab test & deworming based on results

  • Full veterinary exam & health certificate

Puppies require a different level of care than adult dogs. Bear has needed careful monitoring and segregation until fully vaccinated, which is part of why his fee matches that of spayed/neutered adults.

Additionally, we spayed and neutered both of Bear’s parents, who remained with their owner. A portion of his adoption fee helps offset that cost — because without that step, Bear wouldn’t be here today, ready to become part of your family šŸ’™
