Meet Pumpkin. She is a Shihtzu/poodle mix. She weighs right under the 8 lb mark. She is 9.5 months if age. Yes, she is full grown, and at a healthy weight.
She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done, and had a thourel exam with our vet whom has cleared her to find a home all her home.
Pumpkin is the definition of a SWEETHEART. She has one of the kindest, SWEETEST, most beautiful personality you'll ever have the pleasure of encountering. She is serene tempered, and naturally calm. She is NOT high energy whatsoever. She is low key, low energy, and one of the most chillest dogs you'll ever meet! If you ask me, I really don't believe she knows she is only 9.5 months old! She has an old soul, and one that just pulls you in wanting you to love her endlessly without any question in your mind.
She is PHENOMENAL with other animals, whether cats or dogs she will be their instant friend for life. She is great with men, women, and children alike. Her heart exceeds her little self in so many ways, but when it's overflowing with love how can you stop it from growing 🙃 She has a lot of love to give and can't wait to be able to have someone/or a family to be able to share her heart with ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
She is VERY good about going outside when asked to, so housetraining has been a walk in the park with her. When we ask her if she needs to go outside, she will. If she doesn't, she simply won't. She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night only. She has great house manners so she has free roam of our home during the day. She has slept on a dog bed in our room at night on occasion which she did very well with as well, so if that's what her new adopting family wishes to continue it won't be a hard transition for her from the crate! She LOVES her beds, so as long as she has that, where she sleeps won't ever be an issue for her ❤️
The one thing she will need continued training in is walking on a leash. It's something that was never introduced to her in her last home, as they never went on walks, and when they did leave with her they would carry her in and out of the car. Here, with the hot summer months we didn't have much opportunity to work with her in that area ourselves but have introduced it to her when we could. She is a smart girl, and will learn it with enough patience, and understanding ❤️
Pumpkin is NOT a barker at all! In the few months we have had her here with us, we have never heard her bark. She is a very quiet girl, and her energy matches her soul. If you have a home, and life that is calm, easy going, and slow paced then Pumpkin would fit right in as if she had always been right there with you.
She is great on road trips around town, so if you travel anywhere and want a friend for the journey she is definitely your girl! She LOVES her spa days, and how relaxing they can be for her ❤️
Pumpkin is a gem of a dog. She is THAT dog your heart and home didn't know it needed. She is patient, nurturing, attentive, and just KIND ❤️ She is the full package ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Quick note ☺️ She LOVES treats 😊 (I know she wants me to make sure you know that so you are always prepared to have some fully stocked at home for her 🙃)
Her prior family worked long hours, and what little time they had at home wasn't enough to raise Pumpkin in the way she deserved to be happy so they reached out to us to take her in and find her the home she deserved ❤️
Her adoption fee is 2000 in total. It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, general anesthesia, her dental cleaning/additional anesthesia, pain meds to go home, and her antibiotics given to aid in both her spay/dental. It also covers the care involved in the few months she has been with us, her grooming costs, and her training we have personally done with her.
