Meet Theo 🩵

Some dogs steal your heart with big personalities. Others do it quietly, simply by loving you with everything they have. Theo is one of those rare little souls whose greatest joy in life is simply being close to his person.

Theo is a beautiful purebred Yorkshire Terrier born on December 25, 2024, making him approximately 1½ years old. He currently weighs right above 8 lbs, is full grown, and at a very healthy weight.

If Milo is the sheriff of the pack, Theo is the sweetheart who simply wants everyone to be happy. He has such a gentle, easygoing heart and approaches life with a quiet confidence that instantly puts you at ease. He enjoys playing with the other dogs and gets along beautifully with everyone, but if given the choice, he’d much rather spend his time curled up beside his favorite person than trying to be the center of attention.

Theo is a true lap dog through and through. The moment you sit down, he’ll happily find his place beside you, ready for belly rubs, cuddles, or simply resting his little head against you while you enjoy the day together. He doesn’t ask for much beyond your companionship because, to Theo, being near the people he loves is where life feels complete.

One of the wonderful things about Theo is that he’s already learned everything most families hope for. He is completely house trained, crate trained, and has beautiful manners inside the home. He sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate and would easily transition to a cozy dog bed beside yours or sleeping in bed with you if that’s your preference. Since he’s left the puppy stage behind, he can be trusted to simply relax nearby while you work, cook dinner, read a book, or spend a quiet evening at home. His calm, respectful nature makes living with him feel effortless.

Theo loves walks and enjoys exploring at a slower, relaxed pace, taking in the world one sniff at a time. He walks beautifully on leash, rides wonderfully in the car, and is always happy to accompany you wherever life takes you. Whether it’s running errands, visiting family, or taking a weekend getaway, Theo is simply grateful to be along for the ride.

He is wonderful with both dogs and cats and has such an easygoing personality that he settles comfortably into new environments. He isn’t a barker and rarely feels the need to alert to unfamiliar sounds anymore, preferring instead to quietly enjoy whatever is happening around him. Grooming appointments are something he handles beautifully as well, making him an easy companion in every sense of the word.

Theo came to us because his owner made the heartbreaking decision to move out of state to care for her sick mother. Although family lovingly cared for both boys, she knew they deserved homes where they could once again be someone’s entire world. It was a decision made purely out of love, and now our hope is to give Theo exactly that second chance.

On August 11, 2026, Theo was neutered, brought current on all vaccinations, microchipped, received a dental cleaning to remove some mild tartar, was dewormed, and underwent a thorough examination by our veterinarian who has offically cleared him to find a family of his own 🩵

Theo won’t demand the spotlight or constantly seek attention. Instead, he’ll quietly become your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your little source of comfort after a long day, and the faithful companion waiting to greet you every single morning with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. He has such a peaceful way about him that life simply feels a little sweeter with him by your side.

His adoption fee is $2,000. His adoption fee helps cover his neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, dental cleaning, deworming, complete veterinary examination and medical clearance, along with the months of care, training, socialization, love, and preparation he has received while in our care to ensure he is ready for the wonderful family he deserves.
